Ash Wednesday
When it was Ash wednesday, we went to the church with the whole school and parents. We did the sign of the cross. Then we sat down on the chairs and sang Turn back to God.
It means to be closer to him. So after we sang, the people read the readings. Some of our school students read. After they read, it was time for the ashes. My dad put the ashes on the priest and the priest put it on my dad. My dad and the ministers put ashes on us. When that had finished the mass carried on. We had bread and wine and then we went home.By Taniela
It was very special that your dad could put the ashes on your head, Taniela. You were very lucky.

ReplyDeleteGreat writing Taniela. Excellent job on starting your sentences with capital letters and ending the sentence with a full stop.
Maybe next time you could also include what you thought of the mass and what you enjoyed.
Hi Taniela. Its your friend that goes to father's house with you Tupua. I like how you put a picture that has the three crosses in the crucifixion of Jesus, also well done because I can tell you have fast typing speed because of your big sentence's you made on you're story.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day. From your best friend Tupua.
