In room 5 we have been learning about poems. These are our Fruit poems which we have been working on recently.

     Fruit Poem

F-Fruit is very healthy and good for your bones and body.

R-Raspberries are good for your energy and give us energy.

U-Under the tree looking for me ready to eat,

MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!

I-I am staring at a big round orange waiting to eat it. It looks delicious!!

T-The fruits are sold in markets and shops and all the fruits are grown from the ground

Mango, mango every day I have a mango and every may.                                                                                                                                                   

Let’s go get a mango and do the tango.

Mango let’s do the tango.

Mango, mango under the tree all of them are only for me.

The mango is sweet and I eat it as my treat.

Mango is the best, opps I made a mess.

I don’t do the tango but I eat the fruit, Mango.

I haven’t seen the movie “Rango” but I have seen the fruit Mango.

Mango skin isn’t rough but Mangos sure makes you tough.

Oh no Joe don’t eat my Mango.

Oh yes Mango makes me do the tango.

          

Basketball Patrick

On a very exciting Tuesday morning we saw two tall men they looked famous. The coaches were Coach Bruce and Wayne. First our coaches put us with the cone I was in the green team our leader was Talita. First the coaches went through some skills. 

We had to dribble the ball around the cone and back and give it to the next person then they go. After the coaches said to us to name our teams and our team was Breakers and the other teams were Warriors, Barbydolls and Chicago Bulls.

Mean While we played a a game, when you have 3 teams on the wright side and 2 teams on the other side, then you have 3 chances at shotting in to the hoop. Then you give the ball to the other person there was this other new game you have to get your colour cone. I was very excited this was a good BasketBall Leason. After That we had morning tea.

My soul friend is Angelica she has black hear she’s Tongan and she’s in room 7 in Mrs Tuis class. She’s a senior. She likes netball, singing and lollies. She doesn’t like smart people she’s fast she goes to church.

She is good soul friend. She’s a good role model. She likes music. She likes working. She wrote her own song with her group. She likes to dance and .she is very musical student she learner and She is a clever Girl.

She looks pretty. She likes maths because she likes counting in threes she does not like Spiders. My soul friend plays netball. I like my soul friend because when ever I go pass her at the field she will wave at me.

Mini Olmpics victoria.

Mini Olympics’

Last month on Tuesday the 24 of July we were getting ready to go on the bus. When I asked Mr Gaffney and he said that we were going on morning tea. After that it was morning tea Mr Gaffney said only eat lots but not too much because we going to come back and eat. When we were going down the hill we waited for the bus. Meanwhile we hopped in the bus and went to Mt Smart stadium. When we were at Mt Smart stadium we went through the gate and we saw two schools. After that we went and sat down in the middle of the stadium, and the other schools sat at the sides. When we went and sat down we heard someone talking on the microphone. After this Mr Gaffney came and rote on my hand number 7 and he wrote number7 on Rosalina’s hand and Aleca’s hand too. When a person talked again she said a team had to move. Next me and my team Alecia and Rosalina moved on to shot put. Soon I and my team played shot put. While when we were still playing shot put the lady talked on the microphone and she said the people from shot put has to go running so we walked in our lines to start to run the man made a loud sound with the ground. After when we finished running we had to go bake to sit down on the stadium, then Mr Gaffney said that we are going back to school now. So we hoped in the bus and went back to school.
